Flock of Seagulls
The English new wave band formed in Liverpool in 1979. The group, whose best-known line-up comprised Mike Score, Ali Score, Frank Maudsley and Paul Reynolds, hit the peak of their chart success in the early 1980s
Wang Chung
Wang Chung are an English new wave band, formed in London in 1980 by Nick Feldman, Jack Hues and Darren Costin. The name Wang Chung means “yellow bell” in Chinese, and is the first note in the Chinese classical music scale.
Stacey Q
Stacey Lynn Swain, known by her stage name Stacey Q, is an American pop singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. Her best-known single, “Two of Hearts”, released in 1986, reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and the top ten on charts in other countries.
Naked Eyes
Naked Eyes are an English new wave band that rose to prominence in the early 1980s. The band had four US top 40 singles. The group’s first hit, “Always Something There to Remind Me”, was a cover of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David standard.
Musical Youth
Musical Youth are a British-Jamaican reggae band formed in 1979 in Birmingham, England. They are best remembered for their 1982 single “Pass the Dutchie”, which was a number 1 in multiple charts around the world.
Dramarama
Dramarama is an American, New Jersey-based alternative rock/power pop band, who later moved to Los Angeles. The band was formed in New Jersey in 1982 and disbanded in 1994. The band formally reunited in 2003 following an appearance on VH1’s Bands Reunited reality show.
Missing Persons
Missing Persons is an American rock band founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio, and drummer Terry Bozzio. They later added bassist Patrick O’Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild. Dale’s quirky voice and heavy makeup made the band a favorite on MTV in the early 1980s.
